When Parliament is sitting, Janet spends about 4 days every week in London. At Westminster she takes part in debates, sits in Committee, has a range of meetings and votes on legislation brought forward by the Government.
Janet can help constituents by advising on problems, particularly those arising from the work of Government departments, and by representing the concerns of constituents in Parliament.
Janet can put the views of constituents to ministers, present petitions on local issues or raise those issues in debates in the House of Commons. She can help with benefit and pension problems, immigration, tax, health and the CSA. She may also advise you to seek help elsewhere from your local councillor, from the Citizens Advice Bureau or from a solicitor.
